Pueblo of Acoma Community Endeavors Scholarship Fund

The Community Endeavors Scholarship Fund is designed to improve the quality of life of the Pueblo by furthering the educational opportunities for its people.  The Fund’s resources are generated from various non-profit activities and private sources.  These funds are intended to provide educational opportunities to the Acoma Community.
Scholarships are provided, as a privilege, with the intent that upon completion of educational endeavors, the recipients will return to the Pueblo of Acoma to use and share their knowledge and experience towards the continuing development of the Pueblo of Acoma.
Five $1,000.00 scholarships are available for the Fall Semester and five $1,000.00 scholarships are available for the Spring Semester.

Scholarship Eligibility

  • Must be an enrolled Acoma Member
  • If receiving full coverage for educational expenses (i.e. Gates Millennium Scholarship, Daniels Scholarship, etc.), you are ineligible for this scholarship.
  • Prior recipients of the Sholarship or Opportunities Fund must fulfill recipient requirements to be eligible.

Scholarship Application Requirements

All applicants must submit the following documents:
  • Freshman College Student

    1.  A complete application.
    2.  Proof of Acoma Enrollment (CIB).
    3.  A letter of recommendation.
    4.  A letter of acceptance from an educational institution.
    5.  An unofficial transcript, or grades, documenting a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
    6.  A minimum 300-word essay explaining your education and career goals and how you plan to contribute to the future development of the Pueblo of Acoma.

  • Returning College Students

    1.  A complete application.
    2.  Proof of Acoma Enrollment (CIB).
    3.  A letter of recommendation.
    4.  An unofficial transcript, or grades, documenting a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
    5.  A minimum 300-word essay explaining your education and career goals and how you plan to contribute to the future development of the Pueblo of Acoma.

Recipient Requirements

  • Submit a report of the usage and beneficial outcome of funds awarded, in person and in writing.
  • Commit to ten volunteer hours of community service at a community or non-profit event for the Pueblo of Acoma.
  • Must maintain a 2.5 GPA or above. Failure to maintain a 2.5 GPA or above will require the return of all funds awarded.
