The American Rescue Plan’s Expanded Child Tax Credit

File taxes to get monthly cash payments to support your children – even if you don’t normally file!

I hope you are all doing well. I wanted to share information about the Child Tax Credit that I’m hoping you can share with your communities. A key takeaway is that people who haven’t filed taxes are still eligible to receive the CTC in back pay for the last six months of 2021. 

 

The Child Tax Credit is a lifeline for families & lifted 50% of children out of poverty while fighting inflation. The Congresswoman will keep speaking up for families and hopefully it’ll become permanent in the long run. More information can be found in the attachment.
